Blake Bailey believes in people, from East Texas to Belgrade.

His novel Zapatista has raised international awareness and spurred dialogue about the universal struggle to end oppression.
With words in place of nuclear weapons, Zapatista’s message inspired the Freedom Fighters of Serbia. The group of peaceful protesters translated the novel into Serbian.

Bailey recently traveled to Belgrade to speak about Zapatista and march with the Freedom Fighters in the May Day rally.
